The Hawk's View

Teachers spent their Professional Learning day collaborating on plans for the upcoming school year.

A reminder that our last School Council meeting is this Wednesday. We will be discussing staffing, fees and reimbursement, plans/schedules for coming back, programs and option courses, school cleaning as well as assessment and marks. Please email if you would like an invite to the meeting.

An Honours email went home today. Please have your child complete the following form. The district will be collecting information in the fall about Honours programming as a division in EIPS.

Grade 9 students will be sent the google form. We would like to gather individual information that we can put together about our outgoing grade 9 students. We will be in touch soon with more details.

Have a relaxing long weekend ~Jessica

Administration TV update

Open House Video We shared this video with our incoming grade 6’s but wanted to share with all families the great video Mr. Drozda created.

Yearbook update

We are continuing with our yearbook but we need your help. Students can submit photos from earlier in the year or right now. We want our students to be represented in their yearbook. All pictures can be sent to our, or through our FRH Instagram account. This week is Pictures of your long weekend!

Lunch clubs

Hey Hawks, we would love to connect with you! We have created more opportunities for you to connect with both teachers and your peers by creating a lunchtime activities classroom. Just like with announcements telling you what is going on during the noon hour, you can join this classroom to see what is available during the lunch break and how to access that activity from Student Voice meets once a week to DND maybe every other week. Come and check it out! The classroom code for this is n2g4k6z. Can't wait to see you!

Wellness Google Classroom to share with parents and students

To support the well-being of our children and youth, there are two wellness classrooms available to students within the EIPS community. One classroom is specifically for youth in grades 7 to 9 and the other classroom for children in grades 4 to 6. The classrooms provide fun and engaging opportunities that support mental health and well-being in a difficult time and do not require additional time or support from parents/caregivers.

Remember our Story: Elder Wilson reflects on his time as Elder in Residence with EIPS, the journey we started together, and the story we created together. He passes on his thanks and his hopes for our continued journey of truth and reconciliation.
