Addiction and Mental Health - Virtual Education Sessions

Alberta Health Services is proud to offer FREE online programming for parents and caregivers who support children and youth, as well as sessions for adults looking to support their own wellness. Sessions are live and interactive. Our aim is to increase awareness and reduce the stigma around addiction and mental health challenges, provide participants with evidence-based information, and offer strategies that promote health and resilience.

Our presenters are Addiction and Mental Health Educators with knowledge of addiction and mental health issues impacting adults, children, adolescents, families and communities. AMH Education Services is a team that has a wealth of experience coming from a variety of disciplines. Our information sessions are based on evidence-based information and best practices, along with the experience of our team.

Caregiver Education Series

Alberta Health Services offers free online programming for parents and caregivers of children and youth. Sessions are offered through Zoom.

The Caregiver Education Sessions focuses on the 3 R’s: reduce stigma, receive information, and reflect on strategies. Each session provides evidence-based research, common challenges faced by children and youth, possible treatment options, supportive strategies, and information/resources for further support.
